It has been raining a lot on Kauai. I continue to run in the rain, and today the sun was breaking through, a beautiful site after all the rain. This scene reminds me of a song from long ago that begins, “These mist covered mountains, are a home now for me, but my home is the low lands and always will be.”
This song reminds me that this Earth is not our final home, that we belong with God in Heaven. As beautiful as these mist covered mountains can be, our home is the fertile valleys below, we have been separated from God by a great conflict, and we must follow Jesus to our final home with Him.
